Responsibilities
Experience presenting and/or explaining complex information and findings to program and internal and external stakeholders and/or Agency level officials in a way that is easily understood.
Experience with communicating to internal and external audiences to provide update status, clarify points of view, and provide guidance on complex issues and determinations involving agency records, regulations, and/or policies.
Experience researching, analyzing, gathering, and assembling information in order to accurately respond to FOIA requests.
Experience handling high-volume, diverse caseload and deadlines while meeting procedural requirements and deadlines of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts.
Assisting with appeals or litigation surrounding Freedom of Information or Privacy Act decisions

Required
You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Subject to one year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable. New USDA supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
All USDA employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting.
Locality pay will vary based upon the selectee's duty location.
Selectee will be required to establish and maintain a home official duty station with reliable internet connectivity.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-7 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Experience presenting and/or explaining complex information and findings to program and internal and external stakeholders and/or Agency level officials in a way that is easily understood.
Experience with communicating to internal and external audiences to provide update status, clarify points of view, and provide guidance on complex issues and determinations involving agency records, regulations, and/or policies.
Experience researching, analyzing, gathering, and assembling information in order to accurately respond to FOIA requests.
Experience handling high-volume, diverse caseload and deadlines while meeting procedural requirements and deadlines of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts.
Assisting with appeals or litigation surrounding Freedom of Information or Privacy Act decisions.
Applicants may have combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience to meet total qualification requirements. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level.
Transcripts Are Required If you are qualifying for the position based on education.
This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university.
Preferred
master's in a field of study such as Public Administration, Information Science, Legal Studies, Business Administration & Organizational Management or equivalent graduate degree.
