Responsibilities

Feature Development: Assist in the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing data platform features, including ingestion, translation, and enrichment of relevant security data.

Developer Experience: By developing and improving common tools, improve the experience for developers within the team, ensuring a productive and collaborative environment.

Collaboration with Product Teams: Work closely with product managers. Align data platform functionality with product vision and user needs, ensuring consistency across platforms.

Interface with API and Applications Teams: Coordinate with API and cloud applications developers. Ensure that the needs of the API and Cloud Applications teams are being met by the data platform.

Team Building and Expansion: Actively participate in the recruitment and growth of the Data Platform development team.

Code Quality: Maintain high standards for code quality and documentation.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Continuously explore new techniques and tools to improve development processes.

System Reliability Experience: Design for sustainable reliability and monitor the data platform for issues or degradation and respond appropriately and responsibly.

Required

Effective and efficient experience using modern programming languages and common data processing libraries

Experience interacting with a variety of data stores

Relevant experience with message queues and streaming data

Preferred

Experience with Scala (alternatives are Kotlin, Java, Go, and Rust)

Experience with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, Postgres, and DynamoDB

Experience with Kafka (alternatives are Amazon Kinesis, RabbitMQ, and similar products)

Experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure in AWS with Terraform (or similar tooling)

Experience deploying applications on Kubernetes with Helm (or similar tooling)

Experience building effective monitoring into systems with Prometheus and Grafana (or similar tooling)
