Responsibilities

Observe market developments (technological advances, new competition, or other changes)
Carry out feasibility studies on product performance and specifications
Participate in the training of customers, Telops staff and its representatives
Provide technical data requested by customers and assist them in configuring their cameras
Establish collaborations and partnerships with clients to promote new applications
Develop educational material required for technical training and give training sessions (conferences, webinars) to promote the products
If necessary, assist product managers in the process of improving and maintaining products
Attend and participate in conferences on Telops target applications
Understand the needs and expectations of customers working in these fields and inform the sales network and product managers
Support the after-sales service team

Required

A bachelor’s degree as well as a master’s and/or doctorate in a scientific field
A minimum of five (5) years of concrete work experience in a similar function as well as significant knowledge and skills in spectroscopy and infrared
Availability to travel approximately 25-30% of the time, mostly in the US and Canada, but also in Europe
Be eligible to obtain a Canadian government security clearance (secret level)
Good knowledge of the following IT tools and software: Microsoft Office Suite, Matlab, Salesforce

Preferred

A background in atmospheric research (work or internships at NOAA, NW… will be considered an asset)
Knowledge of imaging, image processing as well as scientific markets, environment and petrochemicals will be considered an asset
