Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for Charolais breeders and ranchers in the western United States.
Provide personalized support and assistance to AICA members, addressing inquiries and offering guidance on breed registration, marketing, and other services.
Actively recruit new members and increase engagement within the region, promoting the benefits and value of Charolais cattle to prospective breeders and ranchers.
Organize and coordinate regional meetings, breeder educational events, and other activities designed to support Charolais cattle producers.
Plan, organize, and execute AICA-sponsored events in the western region, including field days and educational seminars.
Promote and manage the participation of Charolais breeders in state, regional, and national events.
Represent the AICA at trade shows, industry events, and other gatherings, promoting the Charolais breed and fostering relationships with key industry players.
Represent the Association at shows, assisting show management with rule enforcement, processing of entries, development of show programs and in other capacities and needed.
Provide marketing and promotional assistance to members and users of Charolais genetics through solicitation and utilization of all AICA marketing platforms.
Provide ring service at auctions when advertising requirements are met.
Assist in developing marketing materials to promote Charolais cattle, AICA events, and membership services in the region.
Foster positive relationships with media outlets and industry publications to increase visibility of Charolais cattle and the AICA.
Educate commercial partners on the value of Charolais genetics provided by utilizing CharAdvantage and other vital commercial programs.
Submit regular reports on activities, membership engagement, sales and shows to the office.
Provide feedback to AICA leadership on issues affecting Charolais breeders in the western region.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in the livestock industry.
Strong knowledge of the cattle industry, livestock markets, and the agricultural sector in the western United States.
Excellent communication skills, including telephone, written and presentation skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
Ability to analyze and solve problems and retain information.
Must have excellent time management skills.
Must be comfortable with computers and other technology.
Must have working knowledge of the Beef Industry.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be able and willing to travel frequently, can be heavy travel during sale season.
Must have a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
Frequent travel within the western United States, including overnight stays and participation in regional and national events.
Occasional travel to AICA’s headquarters or national meetings as required.

The purpose of the American-International Charolais Association (the “Association”) is (i) to provide for the registration and preservation of the purity of the blood, (ii) to provide for improvement in the breeding of registered and recorded Charolais and Charbray cattle, (iii) to act as an information and electronic database center for the breed and the beef industry, and (iv) to keep, maintain, and publish in suitable form the history, record and pedigree thereof, and to disseminate information regarding these breeds.
