Responsibilities

Providing programmatic guidance based on FEMA PA policy, Stafford Act, and the Federal Code of Regulations.
Interpreting and applying applicable laws, regulations, policies, handbooks, and procedures.
Providing programmatic determinations and provide guidance to state and local governmental officials which directly applies to laws, policies, regulations, or other directives which govern the PA Program areas.

Required

You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.

You must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (PAGS) (Recovery) position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Providing supervisory oversight of employees to achieve organization goals; including identifying priorities, evaluating performance and reviewing outcomes.
Providing senior level staff with recommendations regarding policies and programmatic guidance for Federal Public Assistance grants programs.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve solutions on organizational issues.
