Responsibilities

Ensures that databases meet the business requirements of client organizations, are accessible to authorized customers and are kept up to date.

Designs, implements, and maintains multi-user databases.

Selects database management software and defines hardware in accordance with customer requirements.

Reviews usage logs and determines the need for changes in access methods, storage media, or other elements based on usage and performance trends.

This position is subject to Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the DoD 8140 policy series for the position's required CYBER Work Role(s).

You must reside within 50 miles of any of the locations listed on the announcement for this position.

To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.

Experience installing and customizing database management systems, software, or software suites to include third party commercial off the shelf products such as IBM Z/OS, customer information control system or IBM message queues to ensure the integrity of an organizations data and information.
