Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to plan, test, and execute the migration of Broadworks Voice applications from existing hardware to the OpenStack environment.

Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot OpenStack services and infrastructure hardware to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Work closely with network and storage teams to enhance performance and integration of OpenStack services.

Keep updated with the latest developments in cloud computing and the OpenStack ecosystem.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, and Git, to promote automation and repeatability.

Document technical architecture, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Provide consultative direction alongside Engineering project Managers and develop strategies to achieve long-term objectives.

Engage with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to deliver quality products and identify innovative solutions.

Ensure successful project acceptance, efficient work progression, and smooth transition to quality assurance and operations teams.

Solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions with a broad perspective.

Offer guidance for the performance and reliability of various applications and services, and ensure prompt restoration of system failures.

Participate in failure reviews and provide feedback to prevent future issues.

Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.

Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with willingness to work on shifts and provide on-call support as required.
