Responsibilities
Lead and actively participate in design discussions, providing insights and guiding design decisions
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and define canonical data models
Spearhead system design and data engineering projects, ensuring optimal and scalable solutions
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and Databricks
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices
Promote and implement code reusability across projects to enhance efficiency
Utilize Unity Catalog to ensure data governance and compliance
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data engineering solutions and processes

Required
8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and expertise with Databricks
Experience with data modeling tools and frameworks
Knowledge of data governance practices, including Unity Catalog usage
Deep understanding of system design principles and data architecture
Proven expertise in the warehousing domain and supply chain concepts
Excellent coding skills with a strong ability to conduct detailed code reviews
Strong documentation skills for maintaining clear and comprehensive project records
Ability to work independently and lead initiatives as an individual contributor
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with advanced data engineering best practices
Familiarity with end-to-end system design and architecture for data-intensive applications
