Responsibilities
Support sales team in customer presentations. Design initial proposals including layout and configuration of Ska Fabricating equipment, and partner with 3rd party equipment to design and integrate in proposals as required.
Design packaging line layouts based on client needs, facility floorplan, equipment compatibility, and scheduling constraints.
Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings to support successful project installations and acceptance.
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with the sales department as project designs are revised.
Review customer provided layouts, drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation to ensure Ska Fabricating solutions meets customer requirements.
Serve as an information source on the planning and design of equipment installations: equipment and plant engineering. Seek and collect any information on equipment, equipment compatibility, equipment requirements, availability, and scheduling from vendors.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party equipment, including specifications, vendor CAD blocks, and commercial pricing. Collaborate with third party vendors generate quotes and any customization required as part of total Ska Fabricating solution and quote to end customer.
Prepare commercial quotes for end customers including pricing, description, and detailed layout.
Maintain customer status and updates in CRM system.
Assist Sales team members in presenting proposed solutions to customers, attend customer meetings, and provide on-going support for customers follow on questions and information requests.

Required
Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field (preferably engineering), or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years AutoCAD experience, including production line layout, part modeling, and detailing experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in equipment layout for packaging lines and/or industrial construction projects.
Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
Skilled at working with customers and suppliers, building effective relationships through the sales cycle.
Able to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications and customer’s verbal instructions.
Able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures.
Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule, and manage time.
