Responsibilities

Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set, and adjust short-term priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.

Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.

Assemble cross-agency federal coalitions to collaboratively solve challenging nationwide water resources problems.

Conduct and exercise oversight for nationwide water resources software within the organization.

Manage and provide technical supervision of research, training, and technical assistance projects assigned to the division and leadership with national teams.

Determine the scope of nationwide programs through contact with field offices, HQUSACE, other federal agencies.

Plan the program from the viewpoint of meeting the immediate and strategic needs for flood risk management and ecosystems analyses.

Manage funding to deliver services and products as outlined in the division's overall project management plan.

Serve as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for all contracts awarded for the division.

Possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Conducts and exercises oversight for nationwide water resources software; 2) assembles cross-agency federal coalitions to collaboratively solve challenging nationwide water resources problems such as: flood risk management, consequence analyses, risk and uncertainty assessments and ecological analyses; and 3) plan the program from the viewpoint of flood risk management and ecosystems analyses.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
