Responsibilities

The incumbent is an authority on OOS goals, objectives, long-term outlook, processes, and policies for renewable energy programs and is an expert on technical and regulatory matters regarding the development of offshore renewable energy.
Directs OOS specialists in performing functions to gather program data needed to monitor and inform renewable energy safety.
Monitors reported incidents, annual industry self-inspection reports, BSEE inspection results, and lessee submittals required by the T&Cs to assess progress towards achieving BSEE renewable energy safety goals.
Serves as the senior REO authority on the interpretation and application of safety policies and implementing 30 CFR 285 regulations to ensure BSEE's renewable energy programmatic goals for safety performance are prioritized and met.
Implements processes for oversight of eastern seaboard OCS renewable energy operations, ensuring comprehensive OOS review of all industry submittals to assess the highest standards of workplace safety from the onset of construction and operations through decommissioning.
The incumbent performs the full range of supervisory duties including but not limited to: plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities.

Required

You must be a U.S. Citizen.
You will be subject to a background/suitability investigation/determination.
You will be required to have federal payments made by Direct Deposit.
You must submit ALL required documents and a completed questionnaire.
Selective Service: If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service system, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law.
To qualify for the GS-15, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: 1) Creating and implementing safety programs and policies; 2) Providing recommendations to support the development of policies and procedures associated with renewable energy; AND 3) Coordinating and reviewing the work of an interdisciplinary team.
