Responsibilities

Architect and deploy data governance frameworks integrating technical catalogs (GCP Dataplex, Databricks Unity, Microsoft Purview)
Develop metadata models and standardize data quality management processes
Lead data governance tool selection and implementation
Drive organizational change management for governance adoption
Design governance frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture
Create comprehensive governance documentation and playbooks

Required

8+ years in data governance implementation
Proven track record of enterprise metadata management
Extensive experience with GCP data services
Successfully delivered multi-cloud governance programs
Demonstrated C-level stakeholder engagement
Led enterprise-wide change management initiatives
GCP suite (BigQuery, Dataplex, Cloud Storage)
Enterprise data catalogs (Alation, Atlan, Collibra)
Advanced SQL and data modeling
Metadata modeling and management
Data lineage implementation
Data quality frameworks
Access control and security systems
Executive stakeholder management
Strategic planning and execution
Cross-functional leadership
Clear technical communication
Problem-solving mindset
Change management expertise.

Preferred

Health care industry background
Familiarity with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
GCP Professional Data Engineer certification
DAMA CDMP or similar governance certifications
Experience with Google Dataplex, Databricks Unity Catalog, and/or Microsoft Purview
