Required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field.
Certified Trauma Registrar (CTR) or eligibility to obtain certification within [specific time frame].
Additional certifications (e.g., CSTR, RHIT, RHIA) are a plus.
years of experience in trauma registry, health information management, or a related field.
Familiarity with trauma patient care workflows and standards.
Proficiency in trauma registry software (e.g., DI V5, TraumaBase, Collector).
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Expertise in ICD-10 and AIS coding.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred
Experience with ACS trauma center verification.
Knowledge of state trauma regulations and national benchmarks.
Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA cycles).
