Technical Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify customer requirements related to operational processes, data analytics, BI, and reporting.
Provide technical demonstrations of our software solutions, particularly in unique customer product flows, data analysis, BI, and reporting.
Assist sales in developing and delivering presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the technical benefits and advantages of our solutions.
Assist in the development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to showcase the capabilities of our software.
Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans driving to a team’s specific sales quota.
Participate in client meetings, providing technical insights and addressing technical questions or concerns.
Support the sales process by contributing to the creation of RFPs/RFIs and other sales documentation.
Collaborate with sales team to identify professional services opportunities with new and existing clients.
Engage with clients to understand their technical needs and business objectives.
Translate client requirements into technical solutions using our software, focusing on unique processes and configuration of our technology.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor to uncover new sales opportunities.
Provide feedback to the product development team on client needs, potential product improvements, and market trends.
Stay updated on the latest developments in food and ag along with data analytics, tools, and industry trends to inform product development and sales strategies.
Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on the technical aspects of our software, particularly in data analysis and BI reporting.
Share knowledge and best practices with the sales team to enhance their understanding of our products' technical aspects.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in food and agriculture from an operational perspective with knowledge of software implementation in these spaces.
3+ years of experience in a technical sales engineering role, preferably with a focus on food and agriculture software, data analytics, or BI reporting.
Personnel management across a variety of skill levels, both technical and business.
Ability to be comfortable in front of C-level teams for all sizes of organizations.
Proven experience in delivering technical solutions and working directly with clients to create solutions that fit their unique processes.
Knowledge of other AgTech platforms to assist in the sales process.
Strong understanding of software processes and methodologies.
Proficiency in data analytics and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Training expertise for all levels within a food/ag organization.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations.
Preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
