Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and leadership to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies.

Manage a team of Data Engineers and BI Developers to support the development and maintenance of data pipelines.

Ensure that data visualizations are accurate, timely, and meet the needs of end-users.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Monitor data environments for optimal performance.

Implement cost optimization strategies to manage data service expenditures effectively.

Required

15+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related fields, with deep expertise in designing and building distributed data systems and large-scale data warehouses.

Over 10 years of experience building large-scale data analytics platforms using real-time streaming analytics, data warehouse, data lakes, Data Pipelines, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools at scale in both public.

Prior experience in leading a support team of Data Engineers and BI Developers, focusing on improving scalability, resilience, and availability.

Experience with Azure cloud services

Experience in monitoring, managing, and supporting the Azure Data Lakehouse & Analytics platform.

Strong leadership skills to mentor a team of data platform engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Proficiency in a breadth of Data Platforms, Data Integration tools, Databases, Big Data Platforms, and Cloud-based data platforms.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and conduct executive-level presentations.

Preferred

Knowledge of Agency Management systems like Applied EPIC and Vertafore Sagitta, Benefit Point is a major plus.
