Responsibilities
Supervise, guide, develop and mentor a team of 5 to 8 employees using OA-ITSD supervisory standards.
Lead teams of developers in maintenance and development projects.
Continually deliver high quality solutions that exceed customer expectations and provide outstanding customer service.
Participate in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, implementation, Maintenance, Documentation) as needed, while adhering to all ITSD development standards.
Ensure secure coding and comprehensive testing of all development work to achieve the highest quality releases possible.
Document and work to completion assigned tickets including bug fixes and enhancements to various system components.
Become familiar with the business processes that govern how the FACES system components are developed.
Learn and develop new skills through various training opportunities.
Participate in weekend and evenings on-call support rotation after an initial training period.
Other duties as assigned.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management is necessary.
Ability to work with others as part of a fast paced, high performing team.
Aptitude and desire to quickly learn new technologies and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
Ability to prioritize, assign and work on multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to changing tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience with COBOL, DB2, and SQL is required.
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position.
Knowledge of software design concepts.
Skill in translating technical terminology to clear and concise communications with business partners.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop skills of staff.
Preferred
Experience with JCL and TSO is highly desired.
Experience with the concepts of Project Management is a plus.
