Responsibilities

Understand the breadth and depth of research at the University of Illinois System.

Become familiar with all academic areas at the universities at the University of Illinois System.

Position the University of Illinois System as a superior, highly ranked comprehensive, academic institution in the United States in India.

Prepare a timeline and outcomes for different activities of the office on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Track the progress of these activities and prepare progress reports on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

Participate in major educational fairs to promote the University of Illinois System.

Arrange invitations from Indian higher education institutions to speakers from Illinois on different areas of expertise to offer talks at these institutions in India.

Work with the University of Illinois System and higher education institutions in India to facilitate faculty and researcher mobility between the two countries.

Maintain contact with alumni and support the University of Illinois to build a more robust alumni network in India.

Regular travel within India and once a year to the U.S. as required.
