Responsibilities
Develop and distribute recruitment materials
Recruit dyads of people living with MCI and mild stage dementia and their family caregivers primarily through two Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center volunteer registries in Massachusetts
Consent participants
Conduct screening of all potential study participants prior to enrollment to determine eligibility according to established criteria
Meet with participants over Zoom Video or by phone to verify their eligibility for the study.
Meet with participants over Zoom Video or by phone to support REDCap survey completion for those living with MCI or mild stage dementia
Instruct participants in study procedures
Monitor study communication streams and respond to participant inquiries promptly.
Serve as the primary contact for study participants to address logistical issues and questions
Send participants payments and reminders.
Support development of protocol for operations (i.e., tracking participants, recruitment and follow-up activities, IRB protocols)
Develop and beta test surveys in REDCap (with consultation support from the Institute of Translational Health Sciences at the University of Washington)
Create protocol and implement documentation on all screen failures, drop out, and enrollment and provide this information monthly
Manage the database (data collection and data entry activities) and ensure that protocols and procedures meet study standards
Monitor incoming data for completion
Prepare reports on recruitment status and cumulative enrollment reports
With guidance from the study’s statistician, clean data, monitor and run frequencies, and generate database queries/reports for further analysis
Contribute to manuscripts and presentations
Schedule and host twice-monthly remote meetings with the PI and other members of the investigative team
Support grant development
Effectively manage competing time demands, prioritize appropriately while maintaining efficiency, and troubleshoot solutions when time management challenges arise
Ensure proper study close-out activities, including assisting with close out reports
Perform related duties as required

Required
Bachelors’ degree in Health Science, Social Science, Public Health or related field
Two years of experience with clinical research studies, such as clinical or behavioral trials and/or observational studies
Good knowledge of research ethics
Very strong time management skills
Demonstrated organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience with Word, Excel, and Zoom
Experience or familiarity with REDCap
Experience conducting study recruitment
Ability to work with people of diverse social and cultural backgrounds
Preferred
Master’s degree
Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Teams
Experience working with people with mild cognitive impairment or dementia or family caregivers of older adults
Experience with database management
Desire to learn new skills and information
