Responsibilities

Familiarize yourself with the company's software development processes, coding standards, and tools.

Understand the organization's product architecture, system components, and technology stack.

Start contributing to smaller tasks or bugs to gain familiarity with the codebase and establish a foundation of knowledge.

Collaborate with team members, actively participate in meetings, and seek guidance or clarification when needed.

Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and quickly grasp the project's context and requirements.

Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, seeking opportunities to improve and innovate within the project.

Begin building relationships with team members and stakeholders to foster effective communication and collaboration.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as product managers and PayOps, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.

Exhibit a deepening understanding of the company's domain, industry, and market trends, and apply that knowledge to make informed technical decisions, always putting yourself in the shoes of our users.

Independently handle moderately complex projects, showcasing a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving abilities by providing simpler solutions and designs.

Actively contribute to the refinement and improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies within the team.

Participate in technical discussions, share insights, and contribute ideas during architectural discussions.

Continuously improve the quality of the codebase through code refactoring, automated testing, and documentation.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical goals and contribute to the team’s planning and decision-making processes.

Required

Deep understanding of the fundamental principles behind programming languages.

Experience with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Go, REST.

Familiarity with AWS services such as SQS, RDS, Lambdas, ECS, API Gateway.

Experience with Event-Driven Architectures.

Knowledge of Terraform.

Experience with DataDog, CircleCI, Docker.

Ability to take ownership of moderately complex features or projects.

Ability to effectively estimate tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and technical expertise.

Experience in code refactoring, automated testing, and documentation.

Preferred

Experience in the payments industry.

Familiarity with compliance and fraud protection in financial systems.

Experience with API management and documentation.
