Responsibilities

Help us get our social media accounts up and running with 4 weeks of posts, a content calendar, scheduling software and content templates for future use.
You can help develop a social media strategy that raises awareness about media projects that are aligned with our mission as well as the corresponding science and technology featured in them.
A 4-week content calendar for multiple social media platforms, including graphics & copy.
A content calendar, scheduling software set up and content templates that can be used to plan out posts in the future.
The Foundation will create / share social media credentials and existing marketing materials with the Volunteer.
(If possible) Volunteer to research the existing social media accounts of comparable companies / brands / communities to determine which content types are performing best.
Foundation and Volunteer discuss & agree upon target audiences, content types, and posting frequency.
Volunteer uses Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, or comparable software to set up a content calendar structure.
The Foundation reviews and provides feedback, which the Volunteer incorporates.
Foundation shares materials (images, quotes, stories, etc) that the Volunteer may use to create content.
Volunteer creates up to 4 weeks’ worth of social media posts (approximately 12-20 posts).
The Foundation reviews and provides feedback, which the Volunteer incorporates.
Professional connects the Foundation's social media account to a scheduling software.
Professional sets up and schedules up to 4 weeks of posts in scheduling software.

Required

Experience managing social media accounts, content calendars and scheduling software for personal or business use.
Passion for social media / community building.
Passion for science, technology and storytelling (film, video games, podcasts, etc).
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred

Interest in exploring the latest social media platforms is a plus.
Someone who is good with video editing, copywriting, and graphic design.
