Responsibilities
Works with the Sr. Director of Real Estate to execute the real estate strategic plan, building a pipeline of new sites to meet the company growth plan within a specified geographic area.
Manage an established network of real estate brokers to execute market specific penetration strategies and identify potential sites for new restaurant locations.
Work with broker network to prepare and present new restaurant site recommendation packages to the Real Estate Committee. The presentation shall include a sales forecast, a sales transfer forecast, and an ROI analysis. The goal of the presentation is to gain the Real Estate Committee’s approval of the site and its related investment.
Analyze and evaluate data on a wide variety of real estate matters, including title information, architectural documentation and property surveys.
Aggressively guides and oversees preparation of project proposals, letters of intent, pro-formas, budgets, feasibility analyses, including determination of time and funding requirements.
Works with Finance on sale projections, etc.
Accurately projects timelines to senior director and the construction team to ensure accurate revenue projects and timely preparation of operations.
Prepare market studies for growth in core, developing, and new markets.
Tracks and manages all development schedules to ensure opening dates and key benchmarks are met.
Achieves annual store opening plan for openings and store months.
Develops a regional system of contacts with developers in each market.
Manages a real estate broker network within area of responsibility.
Management of real estate projects, both planned and future focused.
Work directly with brokers to identify prospective sites.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, real estate, or a related field.
Experience in corporate restaurant development and real estate environment with restaurant unit growth.
Skill in utilizing analytical site selection tools to aid in the real estate decision making process.
Knowledge of real estate management principles and techniques.
Skill in conducting real estate development feasibility studies and analyses.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques in real estate.
Proficient with Microsoft Software Package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be a high performer, especially in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment.
Ability to demonstrate strong business and financial acumen.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Strong attention to detail and decision-making ability.
Demonstrates strong research, analytical and strategic thinking ability.

Ability to travel to new and current sites in a restaurant environment.
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time, attend meetings and visit new site locations, current City BBQ locations, etc., possibly in other geographical locations, in inclement weather, and with minimal notification when needed.
Must be able work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level; this includes performing work in a fast-paced manner and making timely decisions.
