Responsibilities
Lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
Develop manufacturing process and equipment for Powertrain lines.
Implement engineering solutions on equipment based on product design changes.
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis on manufacturing equipment and processes
Work cross functionally to align stakeholders on equipment and process changes.
Designing fixtures and equipment to support production requirements.

Required
Field(s) of study: Mechanical engineering or a related field
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
3D modeling (Catia, 3DX, Delmia), 2D modeling (AutoCAD) and simulations to validate equipment designs.
Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, material handling, fluid dispensing, plasma treatment, vision systems, conveyor systems, laser cleaning/welding, soldering, CMM, and DC tools and press equipment.
