Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic advisor to clients by comprehending their business challenges and developing BI solutions utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Oversee the delivery of BI projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives, ultimately delivering a positive impact for customers.
Promote solution adoption within customer organizations by collaborating with the Adoption and Change Management team.
Design and manage scalable architectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other components of the Microsoft ecosystem.
Provide training for customer organizations.
Keep up with the latest trends in Microsoft BI tools and frameworks, integrating the newest features into consulting engagements.
Create and deliver thought leadership content, including whitepapers, webinars, and conference presentations, to highlight organizational expertise in Microsoft BI solutions.
Set best practices for BI development, deployment, and governance within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Develop, guide, and oversee a team of BI consultants, managers, developers, and analysts with expertise in Microsoft tools.
Cultivate a high-performing, client-centric team culture that emphasizes collaboration and innovation.
Regularly conduct training sessions to ensure the team stays proficient in the latest Microsoft BI technologies.
Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to define BI solutions for potential clients, develop work estimates, and create a pipeline of projects for the team to deliver.
Engage directly with customers to scope and estimate project sizes.
Participate in client demos to showcase the value of Microsoft BI solutions and JourneyTeam’s consulting expertise.
Ensure that BI solutions comply with data governance, security, and compliance standards within client environments.
Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards within JourneyTeam.
Establish frameworks for optimizing performance and managing the lifecycle of Power BI reports, datasets, and Microsoft Fabric objects.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions, including Data Engineering, Modern Work and Security, CRM, ERP, Project Management, Adoption and Change Management, and other consulting practices.
Work with Microsoft representatives to leverage resources, training, and co-marketing opportunities.
Maintain strong client relationships, acting as their trusted advisor for BI and analytics needs.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in BI and analytics, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role (preferably within a consulting environment).
Extensive experience implementing solutions with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Expertise in Power BI, including advanced DAX, performance optimization, deployment pipelines, and architectural best practices.
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services, such as Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics.
Proficiency in integrating Microsoft BI tools with Dynamics 365 and other ERP/CRM systems.
Experience leading end-to-end BI projects, from requirements gathering to implementation to adoption.
Exceptional ability to manage client relationships and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Understanding of licensing models and cost optimization strategies for Microsoft Power BI & Fabric.
Strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to inspire and develop a team of BI professionals.
Adaptability to fast-paced consulting environments and evolving client needs.

Preferred

Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure Data Engineer.
Experience with AI/ML projects.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
