Responsibilities
Design and oversee new construction projects related to electric distribution systems, including substations, transformers, and overhead/underground lines.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project requirements and constraints.
Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for distribution projects.
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards and safety practices.
Perform load flow analysis and fault studies to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with project management teams to develop project schedules and deliver progress updates.
Participate in field inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical distribution engineering.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electric distribution engineering, specifically in new construction projects.
Strong knowledge of distribution design software and engineering tools.
Familiarity with NESC, NEC, and other relevant codes and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
