Responsibilities

Researching, analyzing, and selecting appropriate information to use in a variety of communication documents.
Rewriting deficient documents written by others, by correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, terminology, usage, organization, format, style, tone, and readability of documents.
Assisting colleagues with identifying, organizing, and analyzing information to present in reports, briefings, and other communication documents to meet the informational needs of various audiences.
Preparing reports, presentations or briefings used to communicate sensitive, complex or controversial materials, especially as it pertains to civil rights and special emphasis programs.
Assisting in the planning, writing, and reviewing of NEPA compliance documents, such as categorical exclusions and environmental assessments.

Required

You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
All USDA employees are required to be enrolled in Continuous Vetting.
Selectee will be required to establish and maintain a home official duty station with reliable internet connectivity.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Researching, analyzing, and selecting appropriate information to use in a variety of communication documents.
