Responsibilities
Analyzing and closing patient reports, specifically COVID-19, UTI, RPP and STI syndromic menus.
Flagging critical results based on microbes detected, age specific criteria, and facility criteria.
Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective action on QC failures.
Timely responses with email communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Required
Master of Science in Biological or Chemical Sciences (biology, microbiology, molecular biology – preferred)
Preferred
Ph.D. in biology, microbiology, molecular biology
Medical Technologist (MB(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AAB), or MT/MLS(AMT))
Ability to work independently and strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Proficient in sample resulting
Proficient in RT-PCR test procedures
Necessary coursework for Infectious Disease Certifying Scientist duties
