Responsibilities
Negotiate, draft, and revise various complex contracts between the Company and its subsidiaries and other parties including CRO agreements, pharmaceutical supply agreements and distribution agreements.
Assist with maintaining all federal and state-controlled substance, manufacturer and distributor licenses and address compliance matters, if any.
Provide timely legal support to assist all departments with their contractual needs in order to assist such departments to achieve their objectives related to product portfolio development and operational excellence.
Assist the Finance department with various financial reporting obligations.

Required
Undergraduate and Law degrees; admission to State Bar. If not admitted in Connecticut, commitment to be admitted to Bar in Connecticut or become authorized in-house counsel in Connecticut.
Requires ten or more years’ corporate legal experience at a top law firm or in an in-house corporate legal department.
Solid grasp of basic legal tenets involving contracts, corporate law, and antitrust.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with members of different departments internally and outside counsel.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; a demonstrated ability to adapt, problem solve and organize competing priorities and projects.
Excellent judgment and ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
Exceptional organizational skills; ability to work quickly and independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to perform responsibilities with a high degree of discretion, good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
Preferred
10+ years of corporate legal experience, pharma experience a plus.
Pharmaceutical experience, and knowledge of regulatory and health care compliance laws a plus.
