Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights for improving revenue cycle processes such as claims management, billing accuracy, payment posting, and denial management.
Develop predictive models to forecast revenue trends, optimize payer mix, and identify patterns in denials, underpayments, and delays.
Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to identify areas of inefficiency or financial loss and propose data-driven solutions to streamline operations and improve cash flow.
Build and deploy machine learning models to automate manual tasks, improve data accuracy, and predict outcomes related to billing and collections.
Design and maintain real-time dashboards and custom reports that provide insights into revenue cycle KPIs, such as Days in Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, aging reports, and claim status.
Work closely with RCM professionals, financial analysts, IT, and operational teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance the overall revenue cycle performance.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data used for analysis and reporting. Perform regular audits and data cleaning tasks.
Ensure that all RCM-related analytics adhere to regulatory standards, such as HIPAA, and identify areas where compliance risks can be mitigated through data-driven strategies.

Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a similar role within the healthcare or revenue cycle management industry.
Proven experience in working with RCM systems, billing platforms, and healthcare data such as claims, patient information, and payment records.
Expertise in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools/languages.
Experience with machine learning techniques (e.g., regression analysis, decision trees, clustering) and predictive analytics.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms for creating dashboards and reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
Ability to communicate technical data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes including patient registration, coding, billing, insurance verification, and collections.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and other industry standards.
Preferred
Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of healthcare management software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, McKesson).
Certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Revenue Cycle Management (e.g., CPC, CPAR) are a plus.
