Responsibilities

Understand and become the subject matter expert for our key applications.

Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development

Act as an advocate for stakeholder needs

Develops business process workflows / designs in conjunction with stakeholders.

Analyze, clarify, and validate business needs

Develop screen mock-ups and prototypes to ensure business understanding of any user interface changes.

Craft detailed technical user stories based on product requirements

Define acceptance criteria and test user stories to ensure quality

Provides real-time business application support for production issues

This position requires a schedule accommodating core business hour as well as some overtime work to meet deadlines and to trouble-shoot and coordinate solutions across teams.

As a member of a team supporting a mission critical application, availability to respond on demand during off office hours is critical.

Required

5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile software environment.

Ability to clearly communicate and present proposed technical solutions to technical and business audiences.

Strong desire to learn new applications at a detailed level and apply their expertise to meet business needs.

Ability to work well in a matrix / cross functional environment.

Possess ability to handle high levels of responsibility, self-directed, and the ability to work independently and efficiently under aggressive deadlines to meet project commitments.

Experience with business process definition, systems implementation, and support.

Possess a high degree of creative ability, analytical and technical skills and independent judgment.

Strong ability to work as a team member on complex projects, effectively interacting with technical and non-technical personnel within and across departments.

Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participate in multiple concurrent projects.

Experience working with integrations between application systems and third-party software with knowledge of API and EDI as well as formats such as XML, x12, json or other file formats.

Experience working on UI/UX designs to maximize usability.

Understanding of database schemas and ability to perform scripts to extract information for testing and troubleshooting. Desired experience with MySQL.
