Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on HIM and coding strategies for new system features.

Contribute to workflow analysis and optimization efforts to enhance efficiency.

Conduct research to support the development of processes and workflows for HIM and coding applications within a healthcare IT system.

Collaborate to design integrated workflows that align clinical and revenue cycle operations.

Create and deliver adoption materials for HIM and coding staff, including presentations and training.

Lead discussions with stakeholders to refine patient accounting and related processes.

Participate in testing and quality assurance activities for system design updates.

Review and recommend improvements to HIM and coding training resources.

Required

Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of experience.

U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust Clearance.

In-depth experience with Cerner HIM applications and 3M systems.

Strong background in hospital, surgical, and ambulatory HIM and coding processes, including charge description master (CDM) maintenance, resolving suspended charges, and denial management.

Proficiency in workflow design and facilitation of adoption sessions.
