Responsibilities
Leverage insights about macro factors and seller and buyer behavior to identify opportunities for sellers to improve buyer experience related to cross border business, and work with teams to implement initiatives based on these trends.
Work with research to unlock insights related to the international seller experience and buyer pain points associated with cross border transactions
Monitor supply market trends across merchandising, GMS, trade routes, fraud, and risk to develop actionable insights
Propose and manage programs that support sellers to meet buyer expectations when exporting, including developing trainings, ensuring existing content is up to date and widely disseminated in key export markets, developing handbook articles on cross border service quality and best practices, and designing cross border specific content for Etsy Success and Etsy Up.
Drive adoption of seller programs, including third party partnerships and Etsy programs like Etsy Up and Etsy Design Awards, that support improvement to the cross border experience.
Represent the International team on a revised take rate strategy that balances risk management to Etsy and seller growth opportunities aligned with inventory gaps and trade route priorities
In partnership with CSS, identify opportunities to improve and localize customer support, balancing scalability and the specific needs of export sellers (i.e. devising a chat bot support strategy that translates into a seller’s local language)
Program manage Etsy’s country specific risk/crisis playbook, ensuring stakeholder coordination and execution of deliverables.
Partner with merchandising and finance to have a view of supply markets critical to our inventory strategy and define methods of engagement.

Required
Successful track record devising roadmaps with cross functional partners to drive customer outcomes.
6+ years of experience in a global marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer facing setting.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization structure.
A track record of building positive relationships with people and teams across a broad, diverse organization.
Experience standing up international market expansion programs.
Knowledge of international export regulations and barriers for small businesses.
