Responsibilities

Tax Processing Specialist will work closely with assigned clients that vary in size and complexity to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely filing of the client’s monthly returns and payments.
Part of the month will help file clients returns and make payments for tax returns during compliance period (7th of the month or earlier up until 17th).
File about 400 returns.
Effectively communicate with clients and taxing jurisdictions via phone and e-mail.
Format tax data for importing and processing in core software.
Analyze tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary.
Confirm client approvals and process any requested changes.
Maintain monthly tax calendars, reconciling and analyzing reports.
Prepare and submit sales tax registrations on behalf of clients.
Resolve notices from taxing jurisdictions.
Participate in the implementation process for new clients.

Finance/Accounting DegreeMicrosoft ExcelData EntryReconciliationPayroll Tax KnowledgeSalesForce

Required

Minimum of a High School degree or equivalent, BS degree preferred.
0-2 years of experience but must be good with reconcile numbers and data entry, finance and accounting background.
Knowledge of basic accounting processes and procedures.
Sound computer skills: Microsoft Excel experience is required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.

Preferred

Open to recent graduates who majored in finance/accounting.
Payroll Tax background is a huge plus.
SalesForce experience would be a plus.
Client facing role so someone with previous customer service experience preferred.
