Responsibilities
Leading all phases of development, assessment and enhancement of both approval/onboarding and customer risk management models
Conducting research on supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques to improve the underwriting model building process
Partner closely with the credit team to drive insights and perform experiments to enhance key business outcomes
Standing up a model monitoring and governance process to evaluate the performance of new and existing models

Required
Master’s Degree in a quantitative field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics
At least 1 year of experience working on lending products
At least 3 years of experience with machine learning
At least 3 years experience in Python, Scala, or R for data analysis
Experience working with relational databases such as Snowflake to pull data
Preferred
PhD in a quantitative field (data science, math, engineering, etc.)
Experience with using AI for analytics and/or generative capabilities
Longer term experience working on lending products and/or FinTech
Extensive experience with SQL
Experience working with AWS or another cloud provider
