Responsibilities

Conduct research on the travel, lodging and housing industries with the goal of producing strategic reports that include actionable public policy and advocacy recommendations.

Work within the Reputation and Research team to outline strategic priorities, develop a reasonable timeline for completion, budget, and develop operational plans to deliver the reports along with an assessment of practical deployment of the information.

Develop strategies in close collaboration with colleagues on the wider team who have expertise in data science as well as those who have a specific regional or industry perspective on best practices and learnings.

Align research projects with other critical business priorities and outcomes.

Ensure that internal stakeholders understand the strategy and plans, and that information is flowing smoothly to everyone with a 'need to know'.

Ensure that progress is being reported regularly, and that roadblocks and successes are being flagged appropriately.

Communicate with senior leaders about project priorities, manage expectations where required and coordinate with other teams to achieve greater goals.

Required

10+ years of research experience working within the political, industry, or advocacy fields

Proficiency with research tools such as LexisNexis, and public records databases.

Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Highly organized and able to stay on top of multiple projects simultaneously, while staying focused on overall strategic goals.

Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex issues, and understand how these can be managed using a broad range of strategies.

Expert communicator with great interpersonal and presentation skills.

Experience working on a global team, collaborating with people from different backgrounds and cultures.

First-rate personal, political, analytical and organizational skills.

Excellent communicator with great interpersonal and presentation skills, both for subject matter experts and the layperson.

Ability to work independently as well as collaborate successfully as part of a team.

Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task while producing high caliber work product in a timely manner.

Self starter with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast moving and sometimes stressful environment.
