Payroll and Benefits Manager (Contract)

Responsibilities
Manage multi-state and international payroll processing for our company and clients
Ensure compliance with varying state regulations
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues
Provide technical expertise on Payroll tax and Payroll tax compliance-related issues
Handle client support tickets for various payroll software programs
Advise on benefit plan designs and selections
Lead open enrollment and address benefit-related questions

Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll management
Extensive knowledge of payroll compliance across different states
Proficiency in PEO payroll software including Rippling, JustWorks, ADP, and Gusto
Experience with benefit plan design and administration
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues and solutions
Excellent customer service and communication skills, demonstrating an ability to flex communication style based on the audience
Self-motivated with outstanding follow-up skills
High proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Slack, and Asana
Must have a business entity (LLC, C Corp, S corp, etc and carry business liability insurance)
Preferred
International payroll experience a plus
Experience with mergers & acquisitions a plus
