Responsibilities

Lead complex projects and programs spanning multiple services, functions, and teams.

Keep the big picture in focus while diving into the details to solve unique challenges that arise daily.

Manage project schedules, identify risks, facilitate trade-off discussions with engineers, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.

Establish repeatable processes to achieve long-term success and operational efficiency.

Drive the technical delivery of programs, focusing on system design, engineering trade-offs, and feasibility assessments.

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of technical solutions.

Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact program delivery timelines or quality.

Understand the underlying technical architecture and contribute to decisions on system design, scalability, and reliability.

Ensure technical KPIs and SLAs are consistently met for the programs you manage.

Develop and own technical roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams.

Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring technical nuances are well-communicated.

Create detailed technical schedules and ensure engineering milestones are met.

Act as the technical escalation point for program-related issues, driving resolution promptly.

Drive accountability and ownership in a fast-paced environment.

Ensure alignment on staffing, priorities, and technical dependencies through structured planning processes.

Provide visibility into key performance indicators, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

Increase team productivity by identifying and removing obstacles while keeping processes lean.

Required

9+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, and 9+ years of industry experience in technical program management, engineering, or related fields.

Proven success working with product engineering teams, focusing on end-user products and experimentation.

Demonstrated experience partnering with platform engineering teams, with expertise in distributed systems and backend infrastructure.

Strong understanding of experiment-driven development, scalable backend architectures, and data-driven decision-making.

Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with executives, tailoring content to the right level of detail and strategic context.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs across technical and business teams, resolving ambiguity and driving results.

Proficiency with task management tools such as Jira, Asana, and Airtable.

Proven ability to influence and motivate stakeholders across all levels of an organization.

Preferred

Experience with regulated technology products, such as digital-native insurance platforms and digital payments, is highly desirable.
