Responsibilities

Attend planned events, other industry events in collaboration with the Assistant Director to solicit sales.
Plans and organizes sales strategy, daily/weekly/monthly schedule, to maximize return on time investment.
Maximizes expo revenues to meet and exceed sales goals through the sale of exhibit sales, sponsorships and advertising packages.
Must have ability to work multiple events with multiple conference themes & pricing strategies
Daily duties are outbound calls/emails to potential prospects from past exhibitor/sponsor list and supplemental lists provided by Marketing Department
Accepts orders, negotiates, closes sales, maintains customer records and completes required documentation (contracts) required for each individual event sale.
Prepare weekly/monthly revenue tracking report to communicate outreach and closed business to Sales, Marketing and Fulfillment teams.
Approaches sales from a consultative standpoint to ensure that exhibitors/sponsors needs are actualized.
Communicates needs of the business to manager and marketing to ensure quality of leads are satisfactory.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Required

8+ years of experience in digital media sales and non-profit.
5+ years of experience in event sales.
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education, certificates, and experience in areas of related discipline.
Proven agility in working across multiple teams/business units.
Track record of meeting/exceeding revenue goals.
Comfortable speaking to scientific experts with basic knowledge of the chemistry industry and terminology.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to quickly establish relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, gain trust, and manage expectations.
Understanding of the mission and values of the department and organization.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and A2Z (or similar event management system) products.
