Responsibilities

Develop next-generation features for Yahoo Finance with a focus on personalization and community enhancement.

Collaborate closely with peers, product managers, and engineering leaders to design and implement new features and enhancements.

Engage in hands-on development and experimentation with cutting-edge machine learning technologies and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Apply deep learning theories and practices to solve real-world problems, including information extraction, knowledge management, and natural language processing.

Utilize your Python programming skills within the Python data ecosystem while working comfortably in a Unix environment.

Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in written form, to share ideas and contribute to team success.

Required

Actively enrolled in a Master's, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science or a related field.

Strong foundation in computer science with a particular emphasis on machine learning and a solid understanding of deep learning theory.

Demonstrated experience or strong interest in information extraction, knowledge management, natural language processing, or computer vision.

Solid Python programming skills and familiarity with the Python data ecosystem and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Basic understanding of software development design patterns and debugging tools.

Strong team player with the ability to listen, communicate personal goals clearly, and incorporate opposing opinions with thoughtful reasoning.
