Responsibilities

Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD, MBS, IFS, and other relevant software/tools.

Gain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and procedures.

Create erection drawings that include precise part identification, quantities, and detailed sections for correct material installation.

Develop clear and comprehensible fabrication documents.

Accurately track project hours, report time worked, and keep the group leader informed about schedule progress and potential delays.

Maintain effective communication with project management, engineering, and drafting team members as orders move through the drafting department.

Review and provide feedback on drafting documentation prepared by Drafting Apprentices or Drafter Is, enhancing their knowledge, performance, and quality.

Act as a subject matter expert in one or more drafting processes and product applications.

Required

Completion of post-secondary coursework in trigonometry.

Proficient in advanced math and familiar with basic drafting functions and equipment.

One to two years of experience in metal building drafting.

Must have at least 5 years of drafting experience.
