Responsibilities
Understand industry trends and applicability to Trust policies. Join and participate in professional affiliation groups to further research on policy management within large corporations and/or financial services.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners across HR Leadership, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit.
Serve as senior project manager for special projects and ad hoc assignments that impact the function, Human Resources and the enterprise.
Use surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. Analyzes data and trends and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Manages information of a sensitive nature and always maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Partners on the maintaining of an effective HR Compliance Program, including identifying potential areas of HR compliance vulnerability and risk and proposing, implementing and providing oversight for all remediation efforts.
Special focus on the enhancement and improving internal business processes and systems to ensure compliance with background screening industry regulations.
Assess HR compliance risk as part of new initiatives or changes to existing processes, and coordinate with key stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Privacy, and Compliance as appropriate to assess compliance risks and complete internal HR audits to address compliance opportunities, issues and gaps.
Establishes and maintains an audit calendar to proactively prepare for regularly occurring audits and manages all HR responses to audit requests.
Stay abreast of new HR legislative changes that may affect employers and identify / release related communication to those potentially impacted.
Partners with vendor to lead, and develop Affirmative Action Plans, provide guidance to managers to ensure required activities are fulfilled, track progress of good faith efforts to reach annual AAP goals.
Enhance and improve internal business processes and systems to ensure compliance with background screening industry regulations.

Required
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of progressively responsible compliance, legal, and/or human resources experience
Demonstrated competency in standard concepts, practices, and procedures of affirmative action, and compliance, including strong understanding of AAP, EEO regulations, EEOC and department of labor enforcement regulations and guidance documentation.
Experience with the creation, implementation and ongoing management of a first in class Preemployment Screening Program.
Preferred
Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify trends, and to influence decision making
Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically to solve problems with practical solutions
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while working independently
Experience managing third party vendors
Ability to partner with internal HR team members, business leaders, and in-house counsel to drive compliance and HR-related projects forward
