Responsibilities

Install Juniper Apstra Virtual Machines on VMware hosts provided by ETS engineers.

Configure Apstra systems to enable ZTP for new Juniper QFX switches.

Design and configure the Apstra Blueprint to incorporate VXLAN and EVPN, deploying the underlay network with up to six VLANs/VXLANs.

Configure TACACS+ for Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting within the fabric.

Where possible, implement IPv6 for management traffic.

Provide hands-on support during the initial cutover event to ensure a seamless transition.

Train ETS engineers to independently deploy additional VLANs/VXLANs and manage the network fabric.

Ensure seamless communication between the new fabric and existing Nexus environments.

Required

Certified Juniper Engineer (Juniper certification required).

Proven experience with Juniper Apstra installation, configuration, and training.

Deep understanding of Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP), VXLAN, EVPN, and Juniper Validated Designs.

Expertise in configuring TACACS+ and IPv6 for management traffic.

Strong knowledge of network integration, particularly between Juniper and Nexus environments.

Excellent communication and training skills to support knowledge transfer.
