Responsibilities
Assist in the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing and reviewing account classifications in accordance with GAAP.
Manage Fixed Asset, Royalty Receivable, and Prepaid Expense accounts.
Work closely with IT in testing and implementing new procedures between ERP and other systems.
Monitor cash balances and perform daily and monthly cash management analysis.
Manage Secretary of State registrations.
Review vendor invoices, work with the team to resolve discrepancies, and complete invoice corrections appropriately.
Help with annual audit requirements of outside auditors.
Assist with some monthly sales tax-related duties, including supporting the monthly sales tax return process and recording sales tax journal entries.
Perform various other tasks as assigned.
Participate in the Accounting team’s efforts to establish and implement effective financial controls, policies, and systems.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-4 years of relevant experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible positions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
High proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting reporting systems.
Analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work and think independently, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to continual change.
Preferred
Experience with Great Plains, Avalara, and FrX.
