Responsibilities
Mobile development experience is non-negotiable - show me an app in the app stores that the individual contributed to.
React Native experience is a must
We need someone that can coach/lead an engineering squad, conduct heightened approvals, and do code reviews.
They must have a keen understanding of mobile experience best practices and how to implement.
Accessibility experience is VERY good to have. We need someone who understands implementation of a11y standards and can advocate for it.
They must be resilient, empathetic, collaborative, and a great communicator.
They must be gutsy and assertive.
Experience with object oriented design and concepts
Experience using design patterns and principals.
Extensive experience in building mobile applications using React Native.
Strong understanding of React Native architecture, components, and development tools.
Experience with React.js and its core principles.
Solid understanding of mobile platforms, especially iOS and Android.
Experience with cross platform development like flutter or Xamarin.
Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes in App Store and Google Play.
Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries/integrations.
Experience with GraphQL can be an added advantage.
Proficiency in state management libraries such as Redux.
Ability to optimize performance and improve the responsiveness of applications.
Knowledge of profiling and performance measurement tools.
Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks like Jest.
Proficiency with Git and other version control systems.
Familiarity with build tools like Xcode, Android Studio, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Experience leading a team of developers, providing guidance, and mentoring junior developers.
Ability to delegate tasks, manage resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Ability to break down projects into tasks, set milestones, and track progress.
Ability to think for Jr. developers during sprint planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
