Responsibilities

Develop scalable and resilient network designs that align with business objectives.

Architect solutions that integrate on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and solutions to support infrastructure needs.

Lead the deployment of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.

Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption to operations.

Monitor network performance and address issues proactively.

Analyze and optimize bandwidth, traffic patterns, and network resource utilization.

Develop and implement secure network solutions to protect against potential threats.

Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including policies for data privacy and security.

Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.

Provide guidance and training to IT staff and stakeholders regarding network operations.

Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to identify and deliver optimal network solutions.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network capabilities.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience in network design and architecture.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).

Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and software-defined networking (SDN).

Proficiency in cloud networking with platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Strong understanding of network security principles and tools (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS).

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) are highly preferred.

Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Federal Experience is a plus.
