Responsibilities
Assist in optimizing revenue and practice management system.
Assist managers with troubleshooting high level claims projects.
Review processes for admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections, and other financial analyses and revise, as necessary.
Process clean claim submission for all states. Follow-up with AR for all states with a focus on collection of state billing.
Manage medical accounts to include daily balancing controls, reporting, and completing month end audit activities.
Produce AR reporting for states at end of month and auditing purposes.
Support RCM departmental metrics and goals. Examples KPI’s include, W/O, DSO, cash collections, bucket percentage.
Oversee the payment allocation for all states.
Consistently follow billing practices throughout the RCM department.
Follow up on claims adjustments, corrections, and/or rebilled claims with insurance companies.
Conducts denials management/appeals and AR follow up activities to ensure timely reimbursement for the company.
Review accounts and make recommendations for supervisor regarding to non-collectible accounts.
Participates in educational activities along with staying current on assigned payers’ reimbursement guidelines.
Maintains confidentiality in accordance with all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Maintains procedural manuals, cross training and coverage of the teams’ work
Maintains high level of professionalism, works as a team player, demonstrates solid character at all times and applies critical-thinking logic in all manner of duties
Provides exceptional Customer Service
Any other duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelors’ Degree
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare billing/accounts receivable/revenue cycle
Proficient in Billing Software, Clearinghouse, Payor Portal and Microsoft Suites, including Excel
Supervisory and Leadership skills
Customer Service Skills
Organizational skills
Extensive knowledge of billing, collections and payment posting
Knowledge of EDI reports
