Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company’s mission, growth, and operational goals
Lead workforce planning efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels, skill sets, and talent pipelines
Identify and lead HR initiatives to attract, develop, and retain a workforce suited to the unique needs of the national security sector.
Oversee and refine recruiting strategies for key roles, including the oversight of three recruiters
Establish effective onboarding programs that reflect security industry best practices
Design leadership development and succession planning programs to foster employee advancement and readiness for critical roles.
Foster a positive, productive, and compliant work culture aligned with company values
Provide strategic guidance on employee relations issues, managing sensitive situations with discretion
Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and retention.
Ensure all HR practices align with federal and state laws, industry standards, and company policies, particularly regarding employment eligibility, background checks, and security clearances
Maintain a focus on HR compliance as it pertains to the unique requirements of the national security sector
Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to employment law, employee relations, and data security.
Develop and oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring effectiveness, cost-efficiency, and alignment with industry standard
Review and recommend updates to compensation structures, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
Oversee performance management processes, working with managers to align employee performance with organizational goals
Drive initiatives for continuous learning, training, and development to build critical skills within the workforce
Serve as a mentor to the recruiters, fostering their professional growth and capacity to handle increasing responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to the President and executive leadership on all HR matters

Required
Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in the national security or related industry.
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Experience in workforce planning and talent acquisition.
Proven track record in employee engagement and performance management.
Ability to manage sensitive employee relations issues with discretion.
Experience in compliance and risk management related to HR practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a team of HR professionals.
Experience in compensation and benefits administration.
Preferred
Experience in the national security sector or similar high-stakes environments.
Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
Experience with HR technology and data analytics.
