Responsibilities
Manage daily operations, ensuring timely vehicle pickup and delivery.
Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
Oversee driver assignments and dispatching to ensure optimal route efficiency.
Ensure fleet readiness, regulatory compliance, and proper maintenance.
Coordinate with vendors to support transportation needs.
Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Implement safety protocols and provide training to drivers.
Monitor and address driver performance issues and safety incidents.
Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure profitability.
Analyze financial performance and negotiate cost-effective contracts with clients and suppliers.
Lead and develop teams of dispatchers, drivers, and support staff.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to enhance customer experience and grow the client base.
Implement and manage fleet management software to improve logistics efficiency.
Evaluate and adopt new technologies to streamline operations.
Develop and execute strategies to support long-term business goals.
Identify new markets, opportunities, and partnerships for growth.
Identify and mitigate risks related to vehicle transport, including weather, regulations, and breakdowns.
Develop contingency plans to address operational disruptions.
Prepare performance reports, outlining key metrics, challenges, and solutions.
Use data analytics to monitor KPIs and drive operational improvements.

Required
Proven experience in operations management, preferably but not required, in the logistics, transportation, or operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth understanding of DOT regulations and fleet management best practices.
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing profitability.
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
