Responsibilities
Creates high-quality, visually appealing symbols which are easily understandable and appropriate for wide audiences.
Collaborates with linguists, content owners, and customers to develop symbols which effectively communicate concepts and ideas.
Ensures symbols adhere to Company guidelines and technical specifications.
Gathers feedback from users, speech-language pathologists, and other stakeholders to refine and improve symbols.
Maintains consistency with existing symbol libraries and contributes to the development of new symbol sets.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required
Ability to produce clear and understandable symbols that convey specific meanings or concepts.
Excellent sketching ability to quickly communicate concepts.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of illustrative styles and techniques.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Proven experience in illustration or graphic design is required, preferably with a focus on creating symbols or icons.
Understanding of various file types and their application is required.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, illustration, visual arts, or a related field preferred.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
