Responsibilities
Cash Application: Oversee the daily application of cash receipts to customer accounts. Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
Bank Account Reconciliation: Perform regular bank account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
Account Reconciliation: Conduct reconciliations of cash application accounts to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payments and customer invoices.
Reporting: Prepare and review reports related to cash applications, including aging reports and cash forecasts. Analyze trends and provide insights to improve cash management processes.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the cash application function. Implement best practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to cash applications. Provide exceptional service and support to customers and other departments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of cash applications and related transactions. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Collaboration with Shared Services: Lead and coordinate communication with our shared services team based in India. Ensure effective collaboration and timely resolution of cash application-related issues.
System Utilization: Utilize NetSuite to manage and streamline cash application processes and reporting.
Audits and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1 year of experience in cash applications, bank account reconciliation, and a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of cash application processes and best practices.
Proficiency in NetSuite and other accounting software.
Advanced skills in Excel and bank account reconciliation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in leading cross-functional teams or communication with international teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Experience with NetSuite and working with offshore teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Focused on improving processes and implementing efficiencies.
Dedicated to providing high-quality support and resolving issues promptly.
Experience working with international teams and managing cross-cultural communication effectively.
