Responsibilities

ETL/API Test Engineer will perform manual and automation testing to validate the data flow and accuracy within an application's API integration during the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, ensuring that data is correctly extracted from source systems, transformed as needed, and loaded into target destinations through API calls, while identifying and reporting any discrepancies or errors in the data transfer

Monitor API performance metrics like response time, throughput, and error rates

As an ETL/API Test Engineer, you will work closely with data engineering functions to ensure a sustainable test approach

Work with DevOps team to integrate the test automation scripts into GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD pipeline

Required

Bachelor's degree

4+ years of experience in software testing, including API testing and ETL Testing

Must have experience with SoapUI, RESTful API and Swagger for API Documentation

Experience with testing frameworks such as RestAssured and experience creating automated test scripts with Python/PyTest or JavaScript

Experience in ETL Data Pipeline Testing using Spark or PySpark and Data Bricks, Big Data Testing, and Python or PySpark scripting

Experience with AWS Databases such as RDS PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, MS SQL Server, or Mongo DB Database, AWS Services such as Glue or EMR

Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and experience with complex SQL scripting to validate source or target data load and transformations

Experience with Integration testing and E2E testing among different upstream projects
